Why teachers are just like YouTubers
Takeru Nagayoshi believes that educators and UA-camrs have a lot in common-and if we give teachers the same respect we give UA-camrs, we can attract new talent to the profession in the face of looming teacher shortages.
In a 2019 survey of US kids aged 8-12, one third cited being a blogger or UA-camr as their top dream job. In another survey of high school students, only 5% indicated that they wanted to become a teacher. But 2020 Massachusetts Teacher of the Year Takeru Nagayoshi believes that great teachers and great UA-camrs are cut from the same cloth, and the more we treat educators with the same respect and prestige that we show to UA-camrs, the better chance we have of attracting new talent to the profession.

How to create lessons that showcase students' diverse cultures
Переглядів 2,6 тис.Рік тому

How to be an anti-racist teacher in a mostly white school | Taryn Coe
Переглядів 20 тис.3 роки тому
It is essential that white educators in majority white schools ensure that their students and colleagues are educated about racism. Educator Taryn Coe believes that unless parents and teachers actively choose to discuss race and racism with the young people, students will grow up with a woefully incomplete understanding of the subject - leaving them both uninformed and unable to tackle the obst...

When Tom Braddock took on the new role of Principal, he asked the educators he was going to work with what they would want to change about their school. At the top of the list, was 'more parental involvement'. "Whether you're a Christian, Muslim or Jewish teacher" is still a pretty narrow category: all Abrahamic religions that believe we end up on one of two places when we die, and this worldview of right and wrong permeates all judgement. Isn't that what this whole this is aiming to argue against?

As a teacher, I always find these to be interesting. While I can never understand someone’s experience, someone else can never understand mine. As students, this is the same thing in my mind as a teacher, and everyone is an individual there for education. I treat everyone as a separate individual and adjust my lessons accordingly often times seeking specific information from each person, but what they need particularly. While I understand, I need to be aware of race, I think going too far to the other side of the spectrum does the same thing of excluding other people. This is what we are trying to combat is it not? Why can we not just simplify things and see everyone at the individual PERSoN

🛐🙏❤facts💓❤💕❤❤❤💖💞❤♥️❤💗❤💕❤❤💖😭Heavenly Father JesusGod, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! In Jesus Mighty God's holy name, Amen!" 💗❤❤💞This Gospel message if you continue to believe this message, you will be saved: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried , that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time,

I try not to live in fear but it’s so clear where our world is destined. Apart of empathy is awareness right? So what about all the children whose parents just give them a phone to entertain themselves or put on UA-cam before school. These kids have 0 awareness and they have trouble even making eye contact? I guess tragedy’s like this is the exact reason we need to be exercising our faith in God. We are doomed. The seeds have already been planted and it’s going to take an act of God to fix the damage.

However, I wonder if she has any sense for how self-aware she is, and what result she believes that pontification on any subject will affect the listener. Whatever the case, Mme Coe, good luck in your jousting!

I'm a high school teacher who started an afterschool Minecraft Club during the start of the pandemic in order for students to have a place to de-stress and relax.
